Saying No Will Save You!

By

Emotionally exhausted because of your job.
Because of your toxic workplace.
Because of the relationships that left you more empty than fulfilled.
Because of breadcrumbing from people who don’t even match the intellect of your sock.
Because of confusion about your future.
Because your career progress was delayed.
Because you lost meaning in life over things that shouldn’t even have that much power over you.

Maybe it was your friends. Maybe even your family. And you started to question it all.
You lost your purpose—the meaning that was supposed to breathe life into every waking moment.

Let’s Be Honest:

  • Why are you going on dates with people who aren’t even sure about you?
  • Why are you working in a job that doesn’t appreciate you—or pay you enough to sustain your lifestyle?
  • Why can’t you write, even though your life feels like it’s exploding with inspiration?
  • Why are you stress-eating while watching fitness videos?
  • Why are you waiting for things to happen—the love, the job, the business idea, the friendships, the family time?

It’s okay to ask for help.
From a friend.
From a stranger.
From someone who sees your light and reminds you, “God helps those who help themselves.”

All you need is that tiny nudge.
That inner voice that says:

What You Need to Start Saying

  • People who waste your time or are unsure about you.
  • Doom-scrolling.
  • Jobs that drain your soul.
  • Plans that leave you exhausted the next morning.
  • Conversations you dread but keep entertaining.
  • Joining communities that uplift you—reading, writing, dancing, running, tennis, singing.
  • Watching inspiring podcasts or meaningful YouTube content.
  • Your mental and emotional well-being.

Ask yourself:

This helps you weigh the pros and cons:

  • Who you’re meeting
  • Where you’re going
  • What you have to do tomorrow
  • If you’ll have time for your “dopamine activities” (more on that soon!)
  • Whether it contributes to your growth or steals your peace

Say NO if:

  • The job pays the bills but kills your joy.
  • It no longer serves your goals, passions, or growth.

But if you can’t quit right away—stay while you search.

  • Apply to better roles.
  • Build your network.
  • Don’t be afraid to pivot or demand higher pay.
  • Start a side hustle if that excites you.

The act of saying NO to the wrong things will pull you back on track.

Do it:

Keep Building Your Life

It won’t be easy.
It won’t always be comfortable.
But it will be worth it.
